Seatech is expanding our Web-Based Electronic Cargo Documentation System to serve clients who have ships destined European Countries to meet the security requirements of EU for the Import Control System (ICS). The deadline for ICS compliance is January 01, 2011 and our development team is working very hard to “beat” it.

Seatech released version 2 of its Vancouver-Islands Barge System (VIBS) - a barge service control program designed for cargo barge services between the mainland and islands. VIBS has been successfully used by our clients for almost 5 years to track thousands of cargo and trailer delivered to and from Vancouver Islands.

Seatech released its Container Transload System (CTLS) which was developed based upon popular demand of various container transload facilities in British Columbia. CTLS can handle bulk or and breakbulk cargo with its web-based or client-server based interfaces. Container Auto-Load, Auto-Scale and Inventory Control are some of the more favourite features of CTLS.

Seatech has been awarded the Yard Management Tool (YMT) project at Fraser Surrey Docks. Users will be using YMT on handheld computers to manage container yard over the new 802.11g wireless network covering 53 hectares (130 acres) of yard area.

In addition, Seatech is working to integrate its CMS II with FSD’s new Traffic Control Program also designed to run on handheld computers and vehicle mounted terminals. These projects are scheduled to be implemented in early 2005.

Fraser Surrey Docks has launched its web-based Container Gate Reservation System (GRS), developed by Seatech. Trucking companies use GRS to schedule their delivery and pickup at FSD’s container gate at defined timeslots. GRS helps reduce wait time for trucks at gates and increase daily container gate volume.

This work helps increase cargo volume and reduce rail, truck and vessel turn time by providing accurate cargo location.

Electronic Cargo Documentation System (ECDS)
 
ECDS is a secured web-based solution that allows you to submit your manifests directly to US & CAN Customs and receive your clearances electronically.

All transactions will go through ECDS's Customs pre-approved service center so you do not have to worry about purchasing or developing your own software. You also receive automatic update to latest version of ECDS when available.		  
 
 
ECDS is the perfect solution for shipping lines, agents, and NVOCCs who need to get access to the USCS AMS and CAN ACI-EDI Marine Cargo & Conveyance Reporting system (24-hour filing rule) with a minimum amount of startup time and cost.

As soon as your Agents from Port of Loading enter or upload BLs to ECDS, your head office or Agents at Port of Discharge can log into ECDS to view or print required cargo documents. The same information can also be forwarded to Operations and Terminals for cargo discharge preparations. This feature provides the fastest way and most economical way to send cargo data from one port to another. It eliminates long distance, fax and courier costs.

Unlike other system, ECDS offers optional value added services which include capabilities of printing REAL-TIME Non-Negotiable BLs, Arrival Notice, Standard US and CAN Vessel Manifests, Freighted Vessel Manifest.

ECDS protects the privacy and confidentiality of your data based upon your company profile. Your users are assigned with unique user IDs and passwords to logon to the system. Redundancy and backup system are all built-in to ensure ECDS operates 24/7 and 365 days a year.

Please come and check it out at www.fsd.bc.ca     In less than 9 months since Fraser Surrey Docks turned on its CMSII Web Component customers have logged in and used it more than 10,000 times (10,001 times to be exact).
    Shippers and consignees can view and print delivery and on-dock information of their cargoes. Freight-forwarders, brokers, agents and shipping lines can check up-to-date status of cargoes coming on or off their ships. Truckers can pre-book appointments in advance to pickup and deliver cargoes.
    Bookings are made, releases are booked and cargo special services are ordered through the Web Site. It's a pleasant surprise result for everybody involved in this project.

Fraser Surrey Docks Ltd. launches Cargo Management System II (CMS II ), which was developed by Seatech from the ground up. CMSII is a totally integrated, interactive system that manages all processes and requirements, from initial customer rate and service inquiry through to the final invoicing and collections stage.  With the launch of CMS II, FSD customers now enjoy fully flexible EDI capabilities and Secured Web Access to real-time information about their activities at the terminal.
